Don’t you miss the smell of rain on open lands? The strong pungent aromas softened
by breezes carrying the sweet medicinal aromas of geraniums ,mint and over ripe
peaches. I crave the smell of my grandmother’s home enveloped in imphepho
(Helichrysum Splendidum) and the smell of deep frying fat cakes.
Above all, I miss the aloe used to soothe a bee sting after raiding beehives, sunburnt
faces after a day spent swimming in the dam. Gogo’s body washes, lovingly made to
heal body, mind, and soul. Heartbreak, loss, upheaval, changes…there is a remedy
made from gogos herbs, indigenous herbs, herbs my soul recognised.
This is why I created Ketiwe! A brand that does not only honor our heritage but is
formulated with living substances such as plants and its extracts. Hence, the products
contain all the purifying, regenerative, and balancing properties required to nurture good
health and skin
